100% Japanese Gampi, 55,5 x 42 cm, handmade

Made by Tetsuo Tange (1924~ ) in Okayama Prefecture. 
This beautiful and light paper is characteristically crisp from the Japanese Gampi fibres contained within it. The light, pink colouring is attained with a natural dye process of suo, or sappan wood chips. It is then dried on wooden boards - the impressions of the boards remains on the paper.

This paper is no longer being made. Our inventory and ability to special order is very limited.

Hergestellt von Tetsuo Tange (1924~ ) in der Präfektur Okayama.
Dieses schöne und leichte Papier ist durch die darin enthaltenen japanischen Gampi-Fasern charakteristisch knackig. Die helle, rosafarbene Färbung wird durch ein natürliches Färbeverfahren aus "suo", also Sappanholzspäne erreicht. Anschließend wird es auf Holzbrettern getrocknet - die Abdrücke der Bretter bleiben auf dem Papier zurück.

Dieses Papier wird nicht mehr hergestellt. Unser Lagerbestand und unsere Möglichkeiten für Sonderbestellungen sind sehr begrenzt.
